Day 8 - Lake Minnetonka

Lake Minnetonka - what a great party scene on the waters of Minnesotas most famous lake.

My cousin Keith was kind enough to let me stay an extra day so I could get some work done and we could go to Lake Minnetonka to check out some live music and a great lakeside vibe.

We got there early and watched boats, and people flood in for the live music. The vibe was very chill and people of all ages rocked out to the band Good For Gary. They were one of the most talented local bands I've heard outside of Nashville.

It didn't take long for every seat to be filled, but then people started dancing in the aisles and walkways. I can see how the lake life in the summer is pretty amazing.

Did I mention that it stays light out LATE here? We left at 8:30PM and it was still broad daylight. But instead of going straight home, we found another brewery and pulled into sample their beers. All in all it was a fantastic day in the Lake District (or what ever they call it).

So glad I decided to focus on connecting with people on this trip. Every single stop has been awesome. Friday I'm off to Sheboygan WI to met Mike and Mary, family from my Dad's side of the family Tree.
