I know this trip looks like all fun and games, and for the most part, it really is. However, there are times when I need to sit down with a keyboard and do some work. Today is that day.
Judie and Gary have this amazing bulldog pitbull rescue dog names "Alice" who is a total chunkster but a big bundle of love. I love dogs, and Alice seems to know. Plus I am really good at giving "stratches". The Cookie dog has trained me on all the "itchy" spots so when I meet a new dog like Alice, within minutes, I'm her new best friend. Alice now walks up to me, plops on my foot, and bangs her bowling ball sized head into my leg to let me know she's ready for her "scratching."
Judie and run some more errands in the afternoon, then pick up her Grandson Drew and his friend and take them to get an ice cream at the local Frosty Boy.
After returning home, we cook some brats and burgers on the back patio. Judie and I continue to chat and visit and I practice whittling bears.
This is a practice / habit I picked up while watching the boys play baseball. I can talk and whittle (mostly) at the same time. It keeps my hands busy. All; the while Judie and I plan out the next three days. It's going to be a fun adventure packed weekend. I can't wait.
